Collaborative Documents in PerXL enable teams to work together on documents in real-time, similar to Google Docs or Microsoft 365. Multiple team members can simultaneously edit, comment, and review documents, making it perfect for creating reports, documentation, meeting notes, project plans, and other shared content.
Navigate to your desired Workspace from the main dashboard.
Select the specific Section where you want to create or access the document.
Look for the Collaborative Word Document button:
Click the button to open the collaborative document editor
Tip: The collaborative document feature is available in all sections within your workspace, allowing you to create context-specific documentation.
Creating new documents
When you click the collaborative document button, you have two options:
Create New Document
Start with a blank document that team members can immediately begin editing collaboratively.
Open Existing Document
Access previously created collaborative documents within the current section
Auto-Save Feature
All changes are automatically saved every few seconds. You'll see a "Saving..." indicator in the top toolbar, followed by "Saved" confirmation.
Understanding the Editor Interface
The collaborative document editor interface consists of several key components designed for seamless team collaboration:
